With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Bates Harrod of Norman Park, Georgia, born in Colquitt, Georgia, who passed away on November 11, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Bates and Vallie Davis Bates; her husband Donald Wayne Harrod; and her siblings, Leo Bates, Bud Bates, Walstine Bates, Stanley Bates, Kenneth Bates, Phillip Bates, Kate Roberts and Elizabeth Klaus.
She is survived by: her children, Patrick Wayne Harrod (Jana) of Valdosta, Michelle Godwin (Mark) of Valdosta and Suzanne McAlpin Norman Park; her siblings, Lee Bates (Diane) of Leesburg and Hazel Wilson of Norman Park; and her grandchildren, Anna Beth Harrod, Lucy Grace Harrod, Trentyn Harrod, Oliver Harrod, Peyton Haas (Tom), Hannah McAlpin and Chandler Grimes.
