She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Caves and Flossie Caves; and her sister Daisy Tatum (Hoyt Hanners). She is survived by: her sons, Danal Thomas Slay Sr. (Barbara) and James Michael Slay (Patti); her grandsons, Danal Thomas Slay, Jr. (Elizabeth) and Kyle Hunter Slay (Elizabeth); her great grandchildren, Grace Catherine Slay, Harper Ann Slay, Evelyn Louise Collins Slay and Danal Thomas Slay III; and her sister Joyce Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Woldia Catherine Hanners.
