She was predeceased by: her father Earle Barnette; and her brother-in-law Michael Rappaport. She is survived by: her grandson Bodhi James Sherrill; her husband Jeff; her children, Whitney Stockman (Drew) and Austin Sherrill (Meghan); her mother Evelyn Barnette; her sisters, Shelly Rappaport and Tori Barnette; and her grandchildren, Winnie, Maddux, August and Fizz.

“Jeff and family I grieve your loss with you all. Skyla is a part of my walk with Christ that I will cherish always. She helped me weather the storm of a wayward son and encouraged me to seek Christ’s healing for my son. I did this with her many times in prayer and today my son is a warrior for the Lord. I loved Skyla and regret I did not reach out to her during the busy years of raising our children. May God’s hand continue to be upon all of you as you walk forward. Patricia Shida”
