He was predeceased by: his parents, Bikham (Dadu) and Doorpaty (Sajan); and his siblings, Rani, Haro, Roop, Rupa and Ravi.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen Ramotar; his daughters, Pria Poole (Bryan), Nadia Shiwbaran (Ramo) and Navita Mitchell (Colin); his grandchildren, Kristina, Cameron, Kaylee Poole, Ramona, Nolen Shiwbaran and Kelly Mitchell; and his sisters, Utra Ackloo, Asha Narain, Amrita Bisesar and Nirvani Zurzolo. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters in law.
