He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant W. McConnell and Alma Wyman McConnell; and his wife Iris M. Shreve (Merle). He is survived by: his siblings, Gerald, Freeman, Esther and Evelyn; his nephew Neal P.; his children, Jeff R. McConnell of Lebanon, PA and Ann M. Stephenson of Clearwater, FL; his grandchildren, Justin McConnell, Robert Stephenson and Kathleen A. Stephenson; and his great grandchildren, Joshua McConnell and Scarlett Lambert Stephenson.
Due to the current pandemic, a memorial service will be conducted in the summer for family, friends and neighbors.
