He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Chiles Lay Sr. and Annie Mae Dean Lay; his siblings, Lynn Lay Embro and James "Little Jimmy" Chiles Lay Jr.; his brother-in-law Joseph "Joe" John Embro Jr.; his grandparents, Edward Harlan Dean and Marion Boyce Dean; the mother of his children Krista Hall Lay; his children, Gabriel Lay (Andi), Hannah Lay Hall (Tyler), Joseph Lay, Lydia Lay Clark (Tramell) and Samuel Lay; and his sister Judith Lay Peacock (William "Buck" Emerson). He was also cherished by his family, especially his children and his grandchildren.
Flowers are accepted or if desired contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Center or Children's Health Care of Atlanta in honor of "Daniel Leslie Lay".
