He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Herbert Burkhalter and Eulene Leachman Burkhalter. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Burkhalter; his daughter Kayla Smith (Kyle); his brother Rickie Burkhalter (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Bennie Smith and Bexleigh Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
