She was predeceased by: her father Gordon Ernest; and her brother Howard Wilbanks. She is survived by: her husband Lanier Poe of Nicholson; her children, Brenda Elrod of Talmo, Deborah Charping (Clay) of Abbeville, SC, Donald Poe (Dianne) of Jefferson and Paul Poe (Rena) of Nicholson; and her siblings, Dorothy Weldon of Jefferson, Lois Mae Poe of Commerce, David Wilbanks of Nicholson and James Alvin Wilbanks of Buford. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
