He was predeceased by: his parents, George Franklin and Betty Jean Hurst Bettis; his wife Connie Sue Hicks Bettis; and his brother Donnie Bettis. He is survived by: his sons, Curtiss of Nicholson, Travis (Carrie Hicks) of Nicholson, Anthony (Deanna) of Nicholson and Joseph Bettis; and his brother Dennis Bettis (Carol) of Maryville, TN.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
