With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Bennett of Nicholson, Georgia, born in Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on March 2, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Bennett and Louelle Kendricks Bennett; and his siblings, Ruth Williams, Mae Picket, D. S., Franklin, Joe and Ray Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jean Adams Bennett of Nicholson; his daughters, Leslie Gandy of Lexington, SC, Laurie O'Hara (Mike) of Winston-Salem and Melissa Britton (Russell) of Evans; his grandchildren, Jonathan O'Hara, Emily Steele, Margaret Carter, Adam Britton and Ann Britton; and his great grandchild Ronan O'Hara.
