She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Fred and Gertrude Trowell Blalock; her husband Jack L. Thompson, Jr.; her daughter Michelle Dempsey; and her brother Chester Blalock.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Beatty of Jefferson and Deanna Thompson of Nicholson; and her siblings, Dianne Vaught of Anderson, Ruby Bridges of Danielsville, Alice Jolley of Albany, Lisa Hulsey of Maysville, Marvin Blalock of Ila and Terry Blalock of Dalton. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Little-Ward Funeral Home (115 State St, Commerce, GA 30529). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (40 Old Kings Bridge Rd, Nicholson, GA 30565).
