He was predeceased by: his parents, Talley Kirkland Sr. and Thelma Teston Kirkland; and his wife Lucille Butler Kirkland. He is survived by: his sisters, Lataine Bowen (Calvin) of Nicholls, GA, Rutalene Cogsley of Douglas, GA and Linda Diane Miller (Charles) of Douglas, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
