He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jones and Ora Lee Boatright Jones; his wife Betty Sue Whitley Jones of Nicholls; his son Shannon Jones; his grandchildren, Charlie and Stephen Taylor; and his siblings, Jerry Jones and Glenda Sue Mattox.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shelia Farrow (Tony) of Dunlap, TN., Shelly Hamm (Jeff) of Pikeville, TN. and Wendy Gilliard (Eddie) of Daytona, FL.; his stepchildren, David Roland (Cindy Gibson) of Maryland and Cathy Roland of Florida; and his brother Howard Jones (Eunice) of Mershon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.
