It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Ashley Denton Sr. (Nicholls, Georgia), who passed away on October 1, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Alexander Denton and Hazel Gillis Denton; and his sons, Max Ashley Denton, Jr. and Bruce Samuel Denton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Harper Denton of Bickley; his children, Beth Denton Nelson (Chris) of Atlanta, Debra Denton McManus (Terry) of Atlanta, Dana Denton of Bickley, Lloyd Denton (Mary Ann) of Bickley and Robert Denton (Peggy); his daughters-in-law, Nancy Denton of Bickley and Camilla Denton of Waycross; his grandchildren, David Denton, Casey Johnson, Amber Arnold, Katie Leggett, Rhett Denton, Matt Denton, Eric Denton, Max Ashley "Lee" Denton, III, Jack "Alex" Denton and Deanna Denton Mann; and his brother Jimmy Vining (Lynn) of Atlanta. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
