He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Hurdle, Jr. and Catherine Hutchens Hurdle; and his daughter Sherry Hurdle. He is survived by: his children, Connie McNulty (Mike) of Nicholls, Debra Kay Hurdle of Nicholls, Lisa Moreno (Jose) of Copperas Cove, TX and John W. Hurdle, IV (Linda) of TyTy, Several; and his grandchildren, Ann Shugart of Tifton and Albert "Bubba" Shugart of Candler, NC..
