We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2024, at the age of 72, Joel Howard Spivey of Nicholls, Georgia, born in Douglas, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Aubrey Spivey and Floriece Burkett Spivey; his brother Larry Spivey; and his brother-in-law Charlie Wooten. He is survived by: his children, Kyle Spivey (Jennifer) of Douglas, GA and Lori Smith (Adam) of Douglas; the mother of his children Mary; his grandchildren, Drew Spivey (Karlee), Jake Spivey, Mason Spivey, Ady Spivey, Kellah Smith and Caroline Smith; his great grandchild Easton Spivey; his siblings, Ronnie Spivey (Teresa) of Douglas, GA and Sharon Wooten; and his close friend Christine Harper. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.

In Lieu of flowers the family would like for all donations to go to Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County.
