He was predeceased by: his parents, William Simmons and Cassie Spell Simmons. He is survived by: his sons, James A. Simmons, Jr. (Tracy) and Davey Simmons (Ann) of Nicholls, GA; and his brothers, Teeter Simmons and Britt Simmons. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
