We bid farewell to Herbert Spivey of Nicholls, Georgia, born in Ambrose, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 23, 2024 at the age of 79. Herbert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Spivey and Gladys Harper Spivey; his wife Patsy Jean Kirkland Spivey; and his siblings, Ineva Harper, Janell Paulk, Frances Harper, Ernestine DuPree, Judy Gurley, Lee Spivey, Thurman Spivey and Carroll Spivey.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Spivey (Forrest Porter) of Douglas, Georgia and Shawn Spivey (Hailey) of Ickesburg, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Kanaan, Kami, Shaley, Herbert, Andrew, Kirkland and MaryElise; his brothers, R. W. Spivey (Earlene) of Ambrose and Wilton Spivey of Douglas, Georgia; and his nieces, Kendra Ray and Leighanna McBride.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Saving Grace Ministries (1149 Dewberry Rd, Douglas, GA 31535). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
