He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Spivey and Gladys Harper Spivey; his wife Patsy Jean Kirkland Spivey; and his siblings, Ineva Harper, Janell Paulk, Frances Harper, Ernestine DuPree, Judy Gurley, Lee Spivey, Thurman Spivey and Carroll Spivey.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Spivey (Forrest Porter) of Douglas, Georgia and Shawn Spivey (Hailey) of Ickesburg, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Kanaan, Kami, Shaley, Herbert, Andrew, Kirkland and MaryElise; his brothers, R. W. Spivey (Earlene) of Ambrose and Wilton Spivey of Douglas, Georgia; and his nieces, Kendra Ray and Leighanna McBride.
