He was predeceased by: his father Norman Alfred Taylor; his brothers, Rodney Taylor and Jerry Lee Meeks; and his stepfather Jerry Ray Meeks. He is survived by: his mother Linda Francis Moore Meeks of Nicholls; his sons, Justin Dewayne Taylor of Nicholls and Shawn Hayes Taylor of Cumming, GA.; and his brother Norman Bradley Taylor (Becky) of Nicholls. He is also survived by four grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
