It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred T. Chappell of Nicholls, Georgia, who passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Fred has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Chappell and Leona Howell Chappell; his wife Mary Sue Johnson Chappell; his son Marty Chappell; and his brothers, Pondie Chappell and Tony Chappell.

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Hodges (Kevin); his grandchildren, Logan Hodges (Jade) and Zoie Hodges; his great grandchildren, Beau Manin Hodges and Nellie Grae Hodges; and his siblings, Shafter Chappell and Paulette Weaks (John).
