She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Gaston Gillis and Rena Frances Mills Gillis; her husband Rev. John Thomas; her siblings, Mary Ellen Whitley and Jesse George Gillis; and her grandson Lee Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Jean Taylor and Debra Streat (Edward) of Ambrose, GA; her siblings, Burrell Harper of Nicholls, GA and Lonnie Gaston Gillis of Nicholls, GA; and her grandchildren, Patty Vickers of West Green, GA, Candice Vickers of Douglas, GA, Michael Taylor of Nicholls, GA and Daniel Taylor West Green. She is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to COVID, the funeral home has asked all attendees to please follow the rules and guidelines for social distancing and to wear your mask for safety precautions at the graveside service and interment.
