He was predeceased by: his parents, Artie Hersey, Sr. and Ruth Naomi Nettles Hersey; and his brothers, Fred Hersey and Oswald Hersey. He is survived by: his siblings, Curtis Hersey of Waycross and Mary Bagley of Bickley; and his aunt Marie Mims of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
