She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Herring and Cora Herring; her husband Rufus P Cheaves; and her children, Aldridge Cheaves (Barbara), Karen Smith (Ronald), Melinor Phillips (Michael), Zelda Glenn (Terry) and Andre Cheaves.
She is survived by: her friends, Patricia Smith and Marian Cleveland. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Inc. (182 Millard Farmer Industrial Blvd, Newnan, GA 30263). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jones Hill Chapel United Methodist Church (421 Walt Carmichael Rd, Newnan, GA 30263). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Jones Hill Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery (421 Walt Carmichael Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
