She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hancock and Estelle Proctor Hancock; her daughter Penny Smith; and her brothers, Lester Hancock and Carthell Hancock.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Hyde (Maria) of Madrid, Danny Hyde (Marissa) of Newnan, Tim Swofford of Newnan, Donna Hyde Christopher of Dahlonega and Pam Stapler of Newnan; and her siblings, Grady Hancock of Buford and Jeanette Whatley of Newnan. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Chapel (1 Bullsboro Dr, Newnan, GA 30263). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (656 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
