He was predeceased by: his father Daniel Schmitt; and his brother Travis Cross. He is survived by: his wife Brooke Taylor Schmitt; his sons, Logan Schmitt, Tanner Schmitt, Taylor Schmitt and Mason Schmitt; his mother Ellen Duncan Cross (Bill); his mother-in-law Tammy Gable (Terry); and his brothers, Will Cross, Joe Hardin (Abbey) and John Hardin. He is also survived by extended family and a long list of friends.
