He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Burns, Sr. and Buvena Holder Burns; his wife Syble Thompson Burns; and his siblings, Judy Burns Duncan and Donald "Don" Burns.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Burns (Kristine), Angel Hoffman (Chad) and Amy Burns (Joel Landers); his grandchildren, Leighanthia Thomas (Pat), Mason Winkler, Chloe Winkler, Megan Raymond, Tori Raymond, Layne Hoffman, Josie Landers and Felix Landers; his siblings, Steve Burns (Penny), Carol Burns, Sylvia Huckeba and David Burns (Mary); and his great grandchildren, Kaylin, Maddy, Paxton, Luna, Carter, Bryson, Cooper, Koa, Sara, Katie, Noah and Buvena.
