He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas W. Jones and Miriam L. Ligon Jones; his brothers, Hal Jones and Greg Jones; and his grandparents, Alton E. and Grace Ligon.

He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Matt, Ryan and Carly (Matthew); his grandson Wyatt; his brother Jerrell Jones; his uncle Wayne; and his aunt Brenda Ligon. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
