He is survived by: his daughters, Margarita Oberlin (Michael) and Melanie Escalera; his grandchildren, Talia Oberlin and Meraya Oberlin; his siblings, Carla Escalera Vázquez and Manuel Escalera Denis; and his close friend Dana Escalera. He is also survived by many friends and coworkers.
