She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard A. Chastain and Elsie Butler Chastain; her siblings, Onita Elder and Dee Chastain; and her husband Leo Erwin Oliphant.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen; her son-in-law Alan Egerdahl of Newnan, GA; her son Michael Oliphant; her daughter-in-law Martha Dysart of Brasstown, NC; her children, Gale Oliphant of Kansas City, MO and Patrick; her daughter-in-law Stacey Oliphant of Newnan, GA; and her grandchildren, Lisa (David Glass), Kristen (Austin Lindsey), Sarah (Paul Rivard), Ethan (Leah Egerdahl), Forrest Oliphant (Aino Riiho), Claire Oliphant (Mark Baker), Michael Baker (Taya Overholt), Leo (Mandy Oliphant) and April Oliphant (Dieter Fiek). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the reading and art programs at Central Christian School.
