It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Forrister McGregor in Newnan, Georgia, who passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert D. McGregor, Jr.; her parents, John Henry and Flora Mattie Howell Forrister; and her siblings, John Murroll Forrister, Franklin Nathaniel Forrister, Jackson Monroe Forrister, Ida Mae Swaney, Louise Elizabeth Wester, Mattie Sue Cook and Sharon Phillis Parker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Mae Lacoste (Gordon Ray) of Palmetto, GA, Jamie Elizabeth Jascomb (Charles Daves) of Newnan, GA and Sarah Jane Hammett (James Marcellus, Jr.) of Wedowee, AL.; her grandchildren, Jason Wayne Brazier, James Robert Hammett (Christina Bell Mote) and Tabitha Lea Gardner (Christopher Corey Gardner); and her great grandchildren, John Robert Evans, Emerson Jones, Olivia Grace Hammett, Kaden Troy Gardner, KeyLeigh Hope Gardner, Jakob Robert Hammett and Jeptha Robert Hammett.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory (8355 Senoia Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home (8355 Senoia Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213).
