We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2023, at the age of 83, Joan Gray Griffies of Newnan, Georgia, born in Rochester, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl H. Gray and Lenora Crocker Gray; her husband Roger Ambrose Griffies; and her son Roger A. "Chip" Griffies, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, J. Patrick Griffies (Lynn) and Dr. Matt Griffies (Sarah Ellen); her daughter-in-law Wanda Griffies; her grandchildren, Allison Griffies Volkmer (Miles), Jessica Griffies Farmer (Austin), Tisha Reed, Gray Griffies Ellender (Adam) and Carly Lambert Griffies; and her great grandchildren, Lillie Reed, Griffin Volkmer and Grayson Volkmer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
