It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Lee Hodnett of Newnan, Georgia, born in Opelika, Alabama, who passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Hodnett and Ruth L. Calhoun Hodnett; and his daughters, Kathy Stinchcomb, Linda Smith and Evelyn Seiler.
He is survived by: his wife Melanie Hodnett; and his children, Sandy Thompson (John), Mary Ann Pitts (Doug), Karen Calhoun (Jeff), Susan Primavera (Fran), Stan Hodnett (Teresa), Jody Hodnett (Ginger) and Danny Markward. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
