He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Houston and Sallie Fannie Houston; his wife Lillia Pearl Houston; his children, Lillia Virginia Houston and Jesse "Danny" Houston; and his siblings, Fannie Cleveland, Arrie Mae Melson, Mary Anne Bohannon, Annie Kate Houston, James Benjamin "JB" Houston and Amos Houston.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Hines, Loretta Gaston, Margaret Porter, Joe Houston (Anglin Houston) and Alvin Houston; his siblings, Grace Smith (Charles Smith), Ned Houston, Jr. (Catherine Houston) and Aldon Houston; his daughter-in-law Sara Houston (Danny Houston); and his sister-in-law Daisy Brown. He is also survived by grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
