He is survived by: his mother Patsy Charlotte Hayes Tate; his daughter Allison Hancock; his grandchildren, John Nolan Hancock and Taryn Alivia Hancock; his siblings, Kim Brown (Steve) and Gary C. Tate; his niece Kirsten Brown; and his nephews, Alex Brown and Christopher Tate.
