He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dudley Richardson Sr. (Martha Sheppard Richardson) and Jimmy; and his daughter Rhonda Stepp. He is survived by: his wife Jeanelle Richardson; his children, Salena A. Brantley (Billy), Kevin L. Allen (Lisa), Joseph H. Allen III (Edna), Rodney L. Allen Sr. (Marie) and Darlene R. Churchill (Jimmy); and his son-in-law Tony Stepp.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sharpsburg Baptist Church (6413 GA-54 p, Sharpsburg, GA 30277). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
