We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2024, at the age of 93, Dorothy S. Massengale (Newnan, Georgia), born in Senoia, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alsie Smith and Rosa Todd Smith; her husband Norman Lanier Massengale, Sr.; and her siblings, Hoyt Smith, Roger Smith, Carolyn Smith Cates and Jenelle Smith Cowan.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Tinsley (Bob), Norman Massengale (Judy) and Neda McDonald; her grandchildren, Bryan Massengale (Tonya), Joey Massengale (Lyndsey), Matt Tinsley (Connie), Scott Tinsley (Kimberly), Jordan McDonald (Destiny) and Morgan McDonald; and her cousins, Jackie Burton and Paul Moore. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, one great-greatgrandchild, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Dorothy's name to Senoia United Methodist Church, 229 Bridge Street, Senoia, GA. 30276 or the Alzheimers Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
