He was predeceased by: his parents, William Orland Griffith and Dorothy Cobb Griffith; and his sister Phyllis Hartman. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Griffith; his daughter Cindy Sims; his stepsons, Michael Thomas (Jennifer) and Jim Thomas (Lynn); and his siblings, Mary Ann Gray, Jay Griffith (Darlene), Bill Griffith and Paul Griffith (Pat). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
