She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Lee Hicks and Dorice Strickland Hicks; her husband Walter; and her sons, Walter Wade Flanagan III and Kelly Flanagan.

She is survived by: her son Patrick Flanagan (Darcy); her sisters, Gail Hicks, Beverly Weaver (Bill) and Debbie Greathouse (Ed); and her grandchildren, Caroline, Katie, Hannah, Sophie, Zoe, Chloe and Rowan. She is also survived by three great-granddaughters; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
