Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alma Cooper Smith in Newnan, Georgia, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 94, on June 8, 2024. She was predeceased by : her husband Henry Morgan Smith, Jr.; her parents, Robert Bryant Cooper, Sr. and Elizabeth Jane Griffith Cooper; and her siblings, William Cooper, Ansel Cooper, Charles Cooper, R. B. Cooper, Alvin Cooper and Margaret Bagwell.

She is survived by : her daughters, Jane S. Werner (Mark) of Sharpsburg and Joyce S. Bethay (Sam) of Walterboro; her brother Floyd Cooper of Greer; her grandchildren, Morgan Nettles, Bryant Nettles, Kevin Werner (Maria), Caroline Kantorczyk (Tyler) and Anne Cole Werner-Meyer (William); and her great grandchildren, Ty Kantorczyk, Jr., Cole Werner, Madilyn Kantorczyk, Lillian Werner and Isabella Werner.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Five Forks Baptist Church (112 Batesville Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
