He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Albert and Ruby Bargeron Jenkins; his brother Glynn; and his sister-in-law Sara Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Naomi Stephens Jenkins; his daughters, Melanie (F. M. Burch) and Marsha (Gary Bland); his grandchildren, Hollie Pryor of Statesboro, Ginger and Josh Hughes of Lenoir, NC; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Pryor, Luke Pryor, Ella Hughes and Elam Hughes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
