It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Lastinger Groover of Newington, Georgia, who passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark D. Lastniger and Anniemae Hagans Lastinger; her husband James H. Groover; and her siblings, Mark Lastinger Jr., Daniel Lastinger, Julian Lastinger and Lillian Steele.

She is survived by: her children, Delora (Donnie Schnorr), Barbara Groover, Linda Brown, James (Louise Groover) and Christy Groover; and her brothers, Doy Lastinger and Emmit Lastinger. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
