She is survived by: her sons, Charles Edward Patterson, III (Jennifer) and Chad Lewis Patterson (Morgan); her close friend Robert Fowler, III; her grandchildren, Tesa, Charles, Keith, Matthew, Jordan, Bradley, Ethan, Emma, Ryan and Logan; her siblings, Kevin Shuman (Lou), Brian Mixon, Wendy Zittrauer (David) and Amy McDaniel (Ron); and her stepfather Weldon Helmey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
