It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Joyce Cates of Newborn, Georgia, born in Decatur, Georgia, who passed away on June 6, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin B. Swinks and Ethel Swinks (Shockley); and her brother Ronnie Swinks. She is survived by: her husband Andy Cates; her children, Donna Wilder (Buck), Keith Clanton (Jeannie), Angela Morris (Kim Wilson) and Gary Morris; her sister Sandra Huntsinger (Bobby); her sister-in-law Gloria Swinks; her grandchildren, Christy, Nycole, Shauna, Laura, Frank, Chris, Jacob, Alex, Colleen, Devin and Samuel; and her great grandchildren, Bailey, Madison, Kayden, Rylan, Amelia, Zoey, Liam, Sadie, Griffin, Rowan, Aislyn and Abigail. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
