He was predeceased by: his parents, William Griffing (Bill) and Elizabeth Griffing (Betty); and his brother David Griffing. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Griffing; his children, Lani Hastings (Steve) of St. Augustine, FL, Darryl Griffing, Jr. (Niki) of Covington and Melissa Henderson (Scott) of Strawberry Plains, TN; his grandchildren, Hampton, Madison, Reagan, Anastasia, Lucian, Shera, Isabella, Hailey and Ava; his great grandchildren, Maverick, Emory and Brynleigh; and his sister Patricia "Trish" Gerlitz. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.
