He was predeceased by: his wife Charlene Purvis; and his brother Donnie Purvis. He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca; his son-in-law Cody Griggs of LaGrange, MO; his son Charles W.; his daughter-in-law Kerry Purvis of Odum; his siblings, Pam Thurston of Lakeland, FL, Patty NeSmith (Penny NeSmith), Glenda (Scott Stripling) and James; and his sister-in-law Sissy Purvis of Lakeland, FL. He is also survived by six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
