He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Sharpe and Sarah Sharpe; his wife Diane Sharpe; his child Pat Sharpe; and his brother Jerry Davis Sharpe.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Sharpe (Kathryn) and Lori Waters (Allen); his grandchildren, Russ Waters (Erica), Reid Waters (Brooke), Riley Waters (Beth) and Ramsey Waters (Katie); and also, Russ Waters, Reid Waters, Riley Waters and Ramsey. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga.
