He is survived by: his wife Velda Mae Shuman of Naylor, Georgia; his children, Paul Dewayne Brooks, Jr. (Tanya) of Madison, Alfred Brooks of North Georgia, Christie Dawn Frost of Valdosta, Georgia and Misty Michelle Googe (Travis) of Naylor, Georgia; his grandchildren, Cheyeene Brooks of Madison, Nichole "Nikki" Brooks of Valdosta, Summer Brooks of Albany, Bryson Brooks of Albany, James Andrew "Drew" Frost, Jr. of Naylor, Kiera Frost of Valdosta, Emma Frost of Valdosta, Ashton Googe of Naylor and Lakyn Googe of Naylor; his brother Stan Shuman (Kitty); and his nieces and nephews, Caley, Darren Bouck and Walt Shuman.
