She was predeceased by: her parents, William Glenn Gaskins and Bessie Gaskins; her husband Stevie Joe Basson; her brothers, Leo Gaskins, Howard Paulk Gaskins, Charles Gaskins, Billy Jack Gaskins, Ronald Gaskins, Bobby Gaskins and Jimmy Wayne; her grandson Roger Micheal Christie; and her sister-in-law Martha Gaskins.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Ann Aviles (Jaime) of Naylor, Georgia and Stevie "Jody" Basson (Heather) of Naylor, Georgia; her brother Earl Gaskins of Jasper, Georgia; her sister-in-law Shirley Gaskins of California; her sister Linda Faye Jones (Charles) of Covington, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Karen Denise Coffey (William) of Valdosta, Georgia, John Judson Christie (Stephanie) of Ludowici, Georgia, Amanda Marie Christie of Naylor, Georgia, Trey Edison Basson (Rebecca) of Valdosta, Georgia and Craig Alexander Basson (Macie) of Morven, Georgia. She is also survived by great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
