She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Channell and Rachel Chastain Channell; her daughter Malinda Karen Ray; and her sister Debra Miles. She is survived by: her husband Nelson Lamar Ray of Nashville; her children, Susan Whaley (James) of Lincoln, ME and Nelson Lamar Ray, Jr. (Dawn) of Nashville; and her siblings, Anita Brown of Dearing and Howard Channell of Augusta. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
