He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Lee Franklin and Jennie Warren Solomon. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hawthorn Franklin of Nashville; his daughter Valerie Smith (Benjamin) of Amelia Island, FL; and his sisters, Jackie Tedder (Stanton) of St. Augustine, FL, Belinda Holbrook (Kerry) of Nashville and Terri Solano (Stanley) of Elkton, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
